The Grove Nursery has been established since 1960 and is located at All Saints Church Halls in New Haw. We are committed to enhancing the development and education of children under the statutory school age in a safe, secure and stimulating environment. We work within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which ensures equality of opportunity for all children and their families.
At The Grove Nursery children use purposeful play as a means of discovering and exploring the world around them. Children are encouraged to work things out for themselves and to seek help when needed. They learn to take turns, share fairly and co-operate with others. We aim to foster a sense of security and confidence whilst enabling each child to develop and progress without pressure at his or her own pace.
“Children are very happy and settled because the setting has created an extremely warm and welcoming atmosphere. They provide an inclusive environment where all children are extremely valued and respected. Overall children make excellent progress in their learning and development, relative to their starting points. The setting has established very successful partnerships with parents and there are robust links with other childcare providers to ensure continuity of children’s individual care and learning. They demonstrate an excellent capacity to maintain continuous improvement through self-evaluation.” – Ofsted Report 2010/2011
